Nintendo has dropped a brand‑new trailer for Splatoon Raiders, confirming its July 23 release on Nintendo Switch 2.
The reveal came with another surprise: a dedicated Splatoon Raiders Direct airing on June 30, promising a deeper dive into the game’s mechanics, world and characters.
A Solo‑Focused Splatoon With a Treasure‑Hunting Twist
Designed as a single‑player action shooter, Splatoon Raiders puts players in the role of a mechanic exploring the mysterious Spirhalite Islands.
This new setting blends exploration, combat and resource gathering as you search for treasure across a chain of unpredictable islands.
Players can customize their character and gear, take on raids and collect scattered resources while battling the ever‑persistent Salmonids using a wide range of ink‑based weapons and gadgets.
Deep Cut Joins the Adventure
Frye, Shiver and Big Man return as key story companions, guiding the player through the campaign.
One member of Deep Cut can even assist directly in combat through a special robot, adding a new layer of strategy to encounters.
Multiplayer Options for Up to Four Players
While Splatoon Raiders is built around a robust solo campaign, it also supports multiplayer for up to four players, both online and via local connection.
This gives fans the freedom to explore the Spirhalite Islands together or tackle raids as a coordinated team.
New Amiibo and Preorders Live Now
Nintendo also confirmed new amiibo figures featuring redesigned characters, all launching alongside the game.
Preorders are already available on the My Nintendo Store and the Nintendo eShop for Switch 2.
A Bold New Direction for the Splatoon Universe
With its focus on exploration, customization and story‑driven action, Splatoon Raiders marks a fresh evolution for the franchise.
The upcoming Direct should offer the clearest look yet at how this new adventure expands the world of Splatoon.
