Silent Hill: Townfall features five endings shaped by player behavior, not binary choices. Learn how they work and what Konami revealed.
Konami has confirmed that Silent Hill: Townfall, developed by Screen Burn Interactive in partnership with Konami and Annapurna Interactive, will feature five distinct endings. Three of these endings can be reached on a first playthrough, while two secret endings are locked behind New Game Plus.
The team emphasized that none of the endings are triggered by simple binary choices. Instead, the game evaluates the player’s behavior across the entire campaign, including how they explore, interact with systems, and respond to threats.
Silent Hill: Townfall launches on September 24, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
What Did Konami Reveal About Townfall’s Ending System?
During a presentation covered by One More Game, producer Motoi Okamoto and director Jon McKellan explained that Townfall’s ending system is built around holistic player behavior, not isolated choices.
McKellan stated that the goal is for players to feel that the ending they receive is the natural conclusion of their personal journey. The game tracks many subtle attributes, including:
- Level of aggression
- Willingness to investigate environments
- Approach to danger and exploration
- Interactions with key mechanics
These factors collectively determine which of the three main endings the player receives.
What Are the Secret Endings in Silent Hill: Townfall?
Two additional endings are classified as secret endings, accessible only through New Game Plus. Konami and Screen Burn Interactive have intentionally withheld details about how to unlock them.
The team wants players to discover these endings organically, encouraging community discussion, theory crafting, and replay experimentation.
