Wazen, the solo Japanese developer known for his work on the Devil May Cry series, announced that the game has been delayed indefinitely. This marks the second postponement since its reveal in 2024.
Originally targeting 2025, then pushed to the first half of 2026, MIGHTREYA now has no new release window. Wazen explained that the extra time will go toward polishing gameplay, visuals and overall action. Recent posts on X show him refining Reya’s sword animations, signaling that development is still moving forward.

MIGHTREYA follows Reya, a high school student with extraordinary powers, and her manager Rio, as they livestream battles against creatures from another dimension.
