Sony and Arc System Works have confirmed three major additions to Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Magneto, Green Goblin and Carnage are officially joining the lineup of the upcoming Marvel fighting game, expanding a roster already packed with heroes and villains from across the comics.
Powers and Playstyles Straight From the Comics
Each newcomer brings a distinct identity shaped by their original stories. Magneto enters the arena with full control over magnetic forces, bending the battlefield to his will. Green Goblin delivers fast, explosive attacks paired with agile aerial movement. Carnage stands out with a ferocious, unpredictable style, using his symbiote abilities to overwhelm opponents at close range.
A Growing Universe of Fighters
The trio joins a cast that already includes Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Storm, Wolverine, Doctor Doom, Hulk, Black Panther, Ghost Rider and several others. The initial roster will feature 20 playable characters, with more fighters planned for future updates as the game evolves.
Arc System Works Brings Its Signature Style
Developed by Arc System Works, known for Guilty Gear, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls features 4-on-4 team battles with character switching, assists and aerial combos reminiscent of classic Marvel fighting games. The studio aims to blend its trademark animation style with fast, team-based combat.
Release Date Set for 2026
