Independent developer CI Games took the Summer Game Fest stage to debut a new trailer for Lords of the Fallen II, titled The Battle for Thorngar. The reveal showcased the sequel’s brutal combat, towering enemies and sweeping dark fantasy world, while confirming a simultaneous launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in the second half of 2026.
A New Region Twisted by Myth and Corruption
One of the standout reveals is Ysiguen, a massive biome inspired by elements of Asian mythology. The region features warped pagoda structures, demonic courtesans and is guarded by Lingao, the Souring Storm, a lightning shrouded dragon that dominates the skyline. It’s a striking addition that expands the game’s world with new cultural influences and monstrous threats.
A Fan Requested Weapon Class Joins the Arsenal
The trailer also confirmed a new weapon class inspired by the traditional Japanese katana, answering one of the community’s most requested additions following the introduction of scythes. The katana class promises precision, speed and high skill expression, adding fresh depth to the game’s Souls style combat.
