Universal has released a fresh trailer confirming that Grand Blue Dreaming Season 3 will premiere on July 6 2026, marking the long‑awaited comeback of Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka’s beloved diving comedy. The video also debuts two new theme songs: the opening track Natsuko by FUNKY MONKEY BΛBYS and the ending theme Hadaka no Mermaid by MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN.
A Tropical Change of Scenery
For the first time in the anime’s history, the story leaves Japan behind. Grand Blue Dreaming 3 takes place in Palau, giving the new season a brighter, more exotic backdrop while keeping the series’ signature mix of chaos, friendship and underwater beauty.
Zero‑G Returns With Reinforcements
Animation is once again handled by Zero‑G, now joined by studio Liber. Director Shinji Takamatsu, known for Gintama and Daily Lives of High School Boys, returns to lead the production, while character designs are crafted by Hideoki Kusama.
