Cronos: Lazarus Unleashes a Fiercer Warden in a Brutal New Story Chapter

Bloober Team is returning to the world of Cronos: The New Dawn with a story driven DLC titled Cronos: Lazarus, launching in fall 2026.
This expansion shifts the tone toward raw aggression, faster combat and a deeper look into the origins of the Warden.

Step Into the Warden’s Past

Cronos: Lazarus places players in the boots of the former Pathfinder, long before he became the hardened Warden seen in the base game.
Cut off from the Collective and isolated inside the Terminal, he dedicates every waking moment to awakening a lost Essence that refuses to fade.
But his sanctuary is no longer safe. A new type of hunter has been dispatched with one purpose: eliminate him.

A More Aggressive Combat Experience

While the base game emphasized precision and careful decision making, Lazarus pushes players into a more assertive, high pressure combat style.
The Warden may be scarred and weakened by years of survival, but he still moves with speed and strikes with force.
Players will rely on:

  • Enhanced mobility
  • Brutal melee options
  • Tactical tools reserved for elite Pathfinders
  • The ability to leave behind a decoy and turn temporarily invisible

It is a shift that lets players feel the full power of a Collective agent, even in a damaged state.

A Relentless New Adversary

Lazarus introduces a pursuer specifically designed to counter the Warden.
This enemy is adaptable, unyielding and capable of matching the Warden’s strength.
Encounters escalate into large scale, cinematic battles that test every skill you have learned.

The Lazarus Protocol Begins

As players uncover fragments of the Warden’s past, they must decide how far they are willing to go to challenge the Collective itself.
Lazarus explores themes of rebirth, identity and the cost of defiance, pushing the story into darker, more personal territory.

Cronos: Lazarus transforms the future from something to endure into something worth reclaiming.
