Chronoscript: The Endless End Traps You Inside a Thousand‑Year Manuscript This Fall

Shueisha Games and DeskWorks! have announced that Chronoscript: The Endless End will launch for PlayStation 5 and PC in fall 2026.
This action adventure blends 2D and 3D exploration as you step into the shoes of an editor who becomes trapped inside a manuscript that refuses to end.

A Prologue Written in Blood and Ink

The year is 2026.
After completing a long running series, editor Frederick G. Muller receives an invitation from a mysterious new author.
He travels to her isolated mansion deep in the mountains, only to be bitten by a mosquito and lose consciousness.
When he awakens, he finds himself inside The Endless End, a manuscript penned by the immortal Vampire Mistress Viola S. Chambers.

Two Worlds, One Endless Story

Chronoscript unfolds across two interconnected spaces:

  • A cluttered 3D mansion overflowing with manuscripts
  • A vast 2D world built from thousands of ink illustrated pages

Each page represents a unique location, era or fragment of Viola’s thousand year narrative.
You explore, fight and uncover the truth behind the author’s endless writing.

Intense 2D Action With Ink‑Driven Abilities

Inspired by classic action platformers, the game evolves as you progress, unlocking:

  • Ink traveling moves
  • New combat abilities
  • Unique traversal techniques

Every discovery strengthens Frederick as he dives deeper into the manuscript’s shifting world.

Confront the Ruined

The manuscript is haunted by The Ruined, souls resurrected after violent deaths who now appear as twisted echoes of their former selves.
Defeating them reveals the tragic threads of their stories and pushes Frederick closer to understanding Viola’s pain.

A Thousand Years of Stories

The manuscript spans countless eras and locations, all written by Viola over a millennium.
Her immortality has turned her creativity into a burden, leaving her unable to find an ending.
Frederick must navigate her memories, loneliness and unresolved tales to bring closure to the endless story.

Hand‑Drawn Art That Feels Alive

Characters, enemies and environments are all illustrated with ink and pen, animated frame by frame to create a haunting, tactile world.
The contrast between the 3D mansion and the 2D manuscript pages gives the game a striking visual identity.

Meet the Author and Her Editor

  • Viola S. Chambers
An immortal vampire author who has written for a thousand years and lost sight of her ending. She summons Frederick to fulfill an ancient promise.

  • Frederick G. Muller

Chronoscript: The Endless End promises a rich blend of action, exploration and literary mystery, offering a world where every page hides another secret.
