What Is the Story of Fuga: Melodies of Steel?
The game follows a group of anthropomorphic feline children from the village of Petit Mona who commandeer a massive tank called Taranis during a war against the Berman Empire. The narrative blends lighthearted character moments with heavier themes involving conflict, sacrifice, and the consequences of war.
What Content Is Included in the Mobile Version?
CyberConnect2 confirmed that the mobile release includes all previously Deluxe Edition exclusive content, along with several cosmetic packs at no extra cost. Players receive:
- Swimsuit Set
- Back to School Set
- Way of the Sword Set
- Fantasy Set
- Item Set
- Dummy Soul, a special item that allows one use of the Soul Cannon without sacrificing a character
The inclusion of Dummy Soul is significant because the Soul Cannon is one of the game’s core risk-reward mechanics. It can instantly destroy enemies but normally requires sacrificing a child to activate.
How Does Combat Work in Fuga: Melodies of Steel?
Combat is built around strategic placement of characters inside the Taranis tank. Each child has unique abilities that can exploit enemy weaknesses, manage buffs and debuffs, and maintain the tank’s systems. The turn based structure encourages careful planning and resource management.
Outside of combat, players make narrative choices that influence character relationships and determine branching story paths. These decisions affect morale, combat performance, and long term progression.
How Were Controls Updated for Mobile?
CyberConnect2 redesigned the control scheme for touchscreens, ensuring that menus, combat commands, and exploration elements work smoothly on smartphones and tablets. The studio emphasized that the mobile interface was built to preserve the tactical feel of the original release while improving accessibility.
