GungHo Online Entertainment and Supertrick Games have launched Season 3 of LET IT DIE: INFERNO on PlayStation 5 and PC.
The update is live now and will run until September 7, 2026, bringing a massive new fortress map, fresh weapons, new playable bodies and community‑driven systems that reshape the endgame.
Yotsuyama Castle Emerges From the Hell Gate
The centerpiece of the season is Yotsuyama Castle, a gleaming fortress that once served as an ancient armory before being transformed into a biotech lab.
Decades later, it has resurfaced, completely engulfed by an unknown fungal mass.
The castle is defended by the Kurohatsu Garrison, soldiers clad in ancient armor fused with fungal tech.
Among them are:
- General Yotsuyama
- Heavy Sentry, half‑dead warriors whose minds have been partially consumed
Defeating them rewards players with Heavy Sentry gear.
A New Boss Born From Fungal Horror
Season 3 introduces Gomamusha, a monstrous super‑soldier overtaken by fungal growth.
It attacks purely on instinct, using a dispersal device that doubles as a propellant, enabling sudden leaps and brutal ambushes.
Three New Weapons Join the Arsenal
Players can experiment with a trio of fresh tools designed for crowd control, precision and raw destruction:
Metal Whip
Arc‑based crowd control with a four‑hit finishing strike.Plasma Laser
A charge‑based long‑range weapon that deals escalating damage but leaves the user exposed.Executioner
A scythe that chains up to four attacks and fires piercing cursed energy.
Two New Playable Bodies
Season 3 expands the roster with two new bodies:
- Joe, unlocked through the Raiders Fund
- Inva, an alien with the Chronos Lock ability, earned by defeating Dreamseeker
Three new armor sets also arrive, offering perks like boosted stamina recovery and stronger finishing blow damage.
