Mattel and Milestone rolled into Summer Game Fest 2026 with the reveal of Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, a brand new arcade racing adventure built around speed, exploration and the iconic toy car energy fans know by heart. A flashy new trailer showcased the game’s biggest features and confirmed a September 24, 2026 launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. Early access players can hit the tracks starting September 21.
A Massive Open World Built for Speed
Infinite Rush shifts the series into a more open format, letting players explore four interconnected themed islands while still keeping the classic Hot Wheels miniature scale. Each island is packed with secrets, destructible objects and challenges scattered across the map. Races now extend far beyond the signature orange tracks, opening the door to gravity defying routes, huge jumps and wild stunts that push the arcade feel even further.
Over 150 Vehicles to Collect and Customize
The game launches with more than 150 vehicles, divided into four categories with unique handling and upgrade paths. Alongside original Hot Wheels designs, players can unlock real world cars from major manufacturers, including Ferrari. Every vehicle can be tuned and personalized, giving collectors and racers plenty to chase.
Multiplayer and Track Building Return
Online multiplayer supports cross play across all platforms except Nintendo Switch 2, while local split screen allows up to four players to compete on the same couch. Customization gets a major upgrade with new editors for stickers, decals and wheels. The track builder has also been expanded, letting players place modules directly onto the island environments for more creative layouts.
Creations can be shared across compatible platforms, fueling a community driven ecosystem of custom tracks and competitive challenges.
A New Era for Hot Wheels Racing
With its open world structure, massive vehicle lineup and expanded creation tools, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is shaping up to be the most ambitious entry in the franchise. Fans can wishlist it now and prepare for a high speed September.
