Snako Production and Infini Fun have released an updated demo of Golden Swirl on Steam, giving players an early look at one of 2026’s most intriguing indie RPGs.
The demo will also appear during Steam Next Fest: June 2026 Edition, but PC players can already dive into its twisted world right now.
Deckbuilding Meets Real‑Time Dodging
Golden Swirl breaks away from traditional turn‑based design.
Instead, its combat blends real‑time action with deckbuilding strategy, forcing players to dodge boss attacks while triggering cards on the fly.
The result is a hybrid system where tactical positioning, timing and resource management all matter at once.
This is not a game where you sit still and think. You move, react and improvise.
Four Heroes, Hundreds of Builds
According to the developers, Golden Swirl features:
- Four playable characters
- Unique starting relics and card sets
- Over 120 cards
- More than 100 relics
The sheer variety allows for deep experimentation, letting players craft highly personalized builds and discover devastating synergies.
A World Filled With Strange Encounters
As players descend through procedurally generated dungeons, they will meet:
- Troubled merchants
- Silent swordsmen
- Mysterious wanderers
Each encounter ties into the Golden Will system, which subtly shifts rewards, deck composition and character growth based on the player’s decisions.
Every choice nudges the run in a new direction.
A Universe Devoured by the Black Moon
Golden Swirl’s narrative unfolds in a bleak dark‑fantasy setting backed by a gothic metal soundtrack.
The gods have fallen after the arrival of the Great Dreamer, and the Black Moon has twisted into a massive Swirl threatening to consume reality itself.
Players step into the role of the final hope of this dying world, venturing into the Golden Swirl to uncover the truth behind the cosmic catastrophe.
A Promising Indie Contender for 2026
With its unique combat, rich customization and atmospheric worldbuilding, Golden Swirl is shaping up to be a standout indie release.
The updated demo offers a substantial taste of what is coming later this year.
