CORDURA Turns Victorian Horror Into a Co‑op Mind Game of Paranoia and Mistrust

Garage51 has released a new trailer for CORDURA, a cooperative psychological horror experience for one to four players coming to PlayStation 5 and PC.
Instead of relying on loud scares, the studio is aiming for something more unsettling: paranoia, silence and the creeping fear that your teammates might not be who they say they are.

Horror Built on Distrust, Not Jump Scares

According to Garage51, CORDURA is designed around tension between players.
Silence can keep you hidden, but a lack of communication can doom the entire team.
Every decision becomes a gamble, and every voice in the dark becomes a question mark.

A Twisted Victorian World

Set in a corrupted Victorian era, players infiltrate warped buildings to recover Roses of the Night, a rare source of Ambrosia.
These structures are alive with primal influence, shifting into procedural labyrinths filled with hollowed inhabitants who wander the shadows.

Your sanity drains as the environment closes in, making coordination essential for survival.

The Mimic System Is the Heart of the Horror

CORDURA’s signature mechanic is the Mimic System, where the darkness learns and imitates:

  • Your teammates’ voices
  • Their physical appearance
  • Their behavior

With proximity voice chat as your only lifeline, you will constantly question whether the person calling for help is a friend or something wearing their skin.

A Story of Science, Night and Ambrosia

The narrative explores a world where science once tried to break the boundaries of Night.
Now the darkness is reclaiming what was stolen.
Victorian buildings awaken, corridors twist into new shapes and the people inside become empty shells.

Yet desire still drives humanity forward.
Deep within these structures grows the Rose of the Night, a potent neurostimulant coveted by the aristocracy.
Players take on the role of workers sent to extract this treasure before their sanity collapses.

A Co‑op Experience Built on Fear and Fragility

CORDURA blends:

  • Procedural labyrinths
  • Psychological tension
  • Voice‑driven teamwork
  • A mimicry system that weaponizes trust

It is a horror game where the scariest thing is not the monster in the dark, but the voice that sounds exactly like your friend.
