Bellwright Brings Rebellion, Survival and Kingdom‑Scale Strategy to Consoles This June

Snail and Donkey Crew have announced that Bellwright will arrive on June 9, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
Originally released in early access on PC in April 2024, the console versions come with full controller support and TV‑focused optimization.
While not labeled as early access, the developers confirm the game will continue evolving after launch on consoles.

A Fugitive Returns to Reclaim His Life

Bellwright begins with a brutal accusation.
You are framed for the murder of the Prince, sentenced to death and forced into hiding.
After surviving an assassination attempt, you uncover a contract that suggests your downfall was no accident.
Determined to uncover the truth, you return to the lands you fled and begin building a rebellion against the Crown.

Your journey is a mix of survival, settlement building and tactical warfare as you fight to restore your name and your family’s legacy.

Build a Rebellion From the Ground Up

Bellwright blends open world survival with kingdom‑scale strategy. You will:

  • Gather resources, hunt and craft to survive
  • Build and expand settlements across liberated regions
  • Recruit allies and train workers
  • Strengthen your rebellion with every outpost you restore

Your recruits gather materials, construct buildings and help fuel your uprising.

Skill‑Based Combat and Tactical Command

Combat in Bellwright is directional and timing‑based, with distinct styles for:

  • Swords
  • Axes
  • Maces
  • Bows

As your rebellion grows, you shift from lone fighter to battlefield commander.
You can:

  • Lead troops
  • Form tactical formations
  • Execute coordinated assaults
  • Push the Crown’s forces out of each region

It is a blend of personal skill and strategic leadership.

Explore a World Beneath the Crown’s Shadow

Bellwright’s world is filled with ruins, forests, villages and hidden paths.
As you liberate territories, you uncover:

  • Secrets tied to the murdered Prince
  • Clues about your family’s past
  • The deeper conspiracy behind your betrayal

“The bells will ring again for freedom” becomes the rallying cry of your uprising.

Deep Progression Across Characters and Settlements

Progression spans every part of your rebellion.
You can develop:

  • Your own combat abilities
  • The skills of your soldiers
  • The efficiency of your workers
  • The strength and layout of your settlements

Each improvement pushes your rebellion closer to reclaiming the kingdom.

Bellwright is shaping up to be a rich blend of survival, strategy and story driven rebellion, now ready to reach a wider audience on consoles.
